I decided in my late forties - whilst a mature student at Leipzig Uni doing my one year abroad for UEL, it was time to see my ''birth'' country, so off I went over to Slovakia. I was going to stay for a week or two, but was treated so badly in general, I left after a couple of hours, having seen my grandfather's former home in Mikealska Uc. Poszon, but had no time to find anyone.. I caught the Hamburg train. Very sad experience. Did not know my uncle Kovaci had been the first President of Slovakia. An Austrian Rothschild had cheated him, when he wanted to make close alliances with Austria and he had to pay the price for it. Rothschild said: he was a nice man, but thought banking was about numbers! well so did I/ another comment was that he was a nice man, like me, and like me he did not know how to handle jews, just as I don't ..What was interesting was that there was an Israeli lady catching the train at the same time, also like me born there, visiting, and she had been treated in the same way. Obviously want to stay a poor country!!
