From leaving school I worked in the printing industry and I am now a sports coach at a primary school. I love all kinds of music and am a massive fan of the sadly departed 'Johnny Cash' and his wife 'June Carter Cash'. I also love to watch 'horse racing', as well as English football and athletics. I use to be a member of Blackpool and Preston athletic clubs and competed in a total of eight marathons and my greatest achievement was to finish 67th out of 800 runners in the Leeds Marathon back in 1987 with a time of 2hrs 52mins, which I was very pleased with. I am a member of a walking club and just recently joined a local photographic club. I use to use film until early last year. Now I am digital I use the new canon EOS 550DSLR. It is very good, but my moan is trying to keep the lenses clean from bits of tiny particuls. I just never seem to get my lenses perfectly clean. I seem to get great photos when walking the dog 'susie' along the beach at Cleveleys near Blackpool, Lancashire, England. And also when I am with the walking club up in the English Lake District. I love to take photos of everything and anything. Whatever catches my imagination, then thats the photo I will go for. Good luck to everyon else around the world. -ps-

dollvr713 : I didn't post for over a year. I've just finished my second knee replacement surgery and have not been doing any photography for some time. I'm going to post a few older ones that I have worked on for the next few months until I can get out to capture some new material.

A very big THANK YOU for the twenty-one (21) votes from Artists who voted for my picture MULTI COLORED WHEEL in the LIGHT TRAILS CONTEST. It was a wonderful surprise with it being my first ever win, after previously only having two seconds and quite a few unplaced efforts. My commiseration goes out to the other lovely pictures from the other 19 artists in the competition, especially the stunning street picture called City Lights by jhphotos who came second just two votes behind my own picture with 19 votes. 3rd went to Light trails from fire by Old Redeye - 13 votes and 4th was Exploding into Christmas by pictures - 11 votes (the one I voted for).
