j26mil is Kansas born. raised on the west side of the Rocky mountains in Pagosa Springs Colo. Was in the field of underground utilities from age 19-27 . this work took me to quite a few places in the U.S. in 2004 this type of work brought me to the Joplin area where I met my (soon to be) wife. We had "fooled" around before marriage and got pregnant with our first son Jaydn who is now 6, as life continued to progress the decision had to be made. do I follow the work that is now leaving, or do the right thing and begin life as a dad. I decided to stick around ! Then in 2008 we had our second son Jaxon. We did'nt live in the greatest part of town(Joplin) but we did'nt care. Home was home because of the people that lived there and the feeling that was given by being around eachother, not location or quality of the house. But in January of 2010 my dad was bothered by our geographical location in Joplin. So he went around Joplin looking for a better neighborhood & nicer home for his Grandsons. soon there after he had made a purchase and being the thrifty man that he is, he found 5500sf. w/inground pool for $150,000. it did need minor upgrades but it was sweet ! After 1 year of working on it here and there. (weekends and afternoons mainly) the work was finally done. All the way down to the 18 tons of gravel wheel-barrowed into the back to put around pool which was finished up on 5-21-11. We went to bed that night not knowing that it would all be taken from us and demolished in just 18-19 hours. Sunday started with church, walk around the block, a chilly dip in the pool. Life was grand, as 5:00pm rolled around My dad shows back up to the house after a late lunch, hollering to the upper level of the house..... "where them boys at"? I come to the balconny with every intention of saying "shhhh, they're up here still asleep". (late nap) However that little voice in my brain was saying they've been asleep to long, get em' up" ! so I did, knowing that with good timing I could throw in a frozen lasagne in the oven and it be done when my lovely wife (Beth) got home. After getting kids up, starting dinner,we head for the basement to hang with grandpa. I look out the windows (towards pool) and see the wind starting to tear up my plants. so i begin bringing in the pots and planters and setting them just inside the door. my dad is heading in right behind me with the last planter, stops at the edge of the door and says, "I hear a tornado" ! with me replying "it's almost on us". scooping the kids up and running to the safe room with time to hunker down and see the lights go out . Pitch black with a Monterous Blending sound intensifying by the second outside. then a loud crash, followed by the screaching sound of 1000's of nails being pulled from wood. imerging from the safe room it was obvious it was all gone and none of it was needed to continue. What I needed in life had walked out of the rubble with me and the other in my arms, we were all safe. I then realized I need to do what I enjoy in life, capture great shots and enjoy my family and praise God. Life is so very short and we are all so fragile. let your friends and family know every day how much ya love em'.

j26mil :
I've removed one of my postings until I find out how to move the watermark...
January 8 at 5:00PM
webster : I'm not sure, but if you go into edit, and upload a modified image, even if it's the same image, maybe it will give you the option of the watermark again?
January 8 at 5:04PM
Flight_of_Raven : Nope.. asked Tom about that already.. he says that moving/removing the watermark raises some kinda technological issues... not sure we'll ever have the opportunity to change our mind on the watermark but Tom says he's added it to the wishlist...
