feminestudio: I used to share my work on Fanart years ago but I got really busy and let it go. But recently I joined again and I'm glad I did. This is a great place to share work and make friends.

I've been painting all my life, since I was twelve. I paint for my own pleasure and to share. Occasionally, I sell a piece. I enjoy the growth process of getting better and better and I mostly enjoy striving to communicate a positive emotion through art.

I also write and have submitted short stories online.

My feeling is that in this troublesome world right now, we need more aesthetics, not less. So let's keep creating art and "out-create" the trouble and turmoil going on out there. The artist should NEVER be submerged in any way; we are an extremely vital part of life and survival.

    It seems a twisted world to me when people like lawyers and company chief executives make more money in a year than most creative people will see in a lifetime.
    Where is the justice when artists, people who bring such joy to our everyday existence...who can uplift our spirits and enrich our souls with brushstrokes on a canvas, an inspiring melody, or heartfelt words on a page...have a massive struggle merely to be recognised, let alone properly rewarded for their contributions to humanity.
    So yes, let's keep creating, and hope one day that people will see through the mire of a society weighted far too heavily in favour of economics, rather than creativity.
    I'm sure the world would be far less troubled if that were to be the case.

    And welcome back to FAR. It is a wonderful community! :)
