INFORMATION
The second son to a well known artist (called Carl), in his country of origin Malta.

I consider myself a fairly creative person, taking photos, making videos, drawing, sculpting and writing film reviews. I have no serious claims concerning my work, I simply enjoy the process of completing a piece.

Up until 1990, I was a Thai Boxer but have varied interests, in many diverse subjects. Hopefully with my art I will be able to demonstrate one key ability and that is versatility.

I'm striving to be an artist (good or bad) not a craftsmen and that is why I don't actually own any fancy camera equipment. Most of my best pictures were taken on the original, 2.5 mega-pixel 'Sony Cybershot' but it was unfortunately dropped and finally broke down. Now shooting on a Canon 7.1 M.P, IXUS 75 (yet another snap-shot camera) but "beggars can't be choosers."

I was operating a manual camera from the age of 12. First a 'Kodack Retinette', then an 'Olympus Trip'. I will also submit photos and drawings from this early age as I consider them important at that stage of development.

You need an art specialist to value art ($) but anyone is capable of appraising art for artistic worth and I do mean anyone. Iv'e even seen elephants in Thailand (and dogs on TV) paint pictures and fool highly regarded, art critics. The great Henri Cartier Bresson, stated that in his opinion "photography was not even an art form". So who knows about anything? The secret is not to be too precious.

My favourite artists of all time are Otto Dix, Gerald Brockhurst and Walter Sickert. I like the photography work, of Brassai. Sometimes the greatest art does not depict sweet smelling daffodils.

One final note is I believe that there are more challenging and provocative artworks in the National Gallery, than in the Tate Modern.

Any feedback to my work is greatly appreciated.

Mr Jones: so thrilled today, for winning my very first traditional art contest, on the subject of snakes. the comp was so close (all the way) and with some of my favourite artists involved. all were brilliant and creative pictures. i was thinking about creating a contest on a medusa theme, so watch this space. hail the 'mighty bushmaster'! haha.

Mr Jones: very happy today for winning the 'knockers' contest. it was an unusual comp with two types of photo entered. delighted to beat some strong contenders and also some real life 'knockers' to haha. thanks so much for the votes.
November 9 at 6:59AM
MGTF Blue: Well done indee but I was very surprised that my "No Entry" B&W image didn't do better. I know we tend to like our own work more than is good for us but I though I was in with a good chance of winning that contest.
    November 9 at 8:06AM
MGTF Blue: I see someone voted for an image based on how "pretty" the knocker was - doh, this is a PHOTOGRAPHY contest so it should be about the light and the camera techs.
    November 9 at 8:32AM
Mr Jones: thanks mgtf blue, for the great response. i loved your 'no entry' pic and was very atmospheric indeed. i know it's very difficult to judge your own work and some of my best pics for me, have actually come last (in previous comps). yes "pretty" was a funny review (but not haha) and both our knockers were the exact opposite of pretty but super strong (with heaps of character) i think. iv'e viewed your portfolio and your time will come my friend.
    November 9 at 12:41PM
MGTF Blue: Than Mr J, I have won a members "White" contest and was third in the "Bridges" contest judged by the committee so I guess I shouldn't complain too much.
    November 9 at 12:45PM
dream alone: "White" is a stunning image. Glad you won.

miesu: I love your photos of Scotland. I lived there for six years but unfortunately did not have a camera to take photos. I lived beneath Stirling Castle. I should go back for a visit. Thank you for sharing your travels with these great shots.

Mr Jones: many thanks miesu. lovely to get this appreciation, from a person who has resided in this wonderful country. your reviews have made the trip and photos so worthwhile.

Mr Jones: Hoping that all FAR members in the US, that are affected by the hurricane are safe and sound, especially Rita in NY. Luckily we have only ever had one bad storm in London in 1987.
August 27 at 8:28PM
David T Francis: Over here in Florida for holiday from the UK and it missed us here pretty much. But my word do they have impressive thunderstorms
    August 29 at 12:56AM
Mr Jones: oh that is good news. the hurricane was actually downgraded to a tropical storm (thank god) but thankfully as you know we do not get such extreme weather in the UK.
    August 29 at 1:25PM
Mr Jones: oh that is an amazing story my friend. thanks for putting this up. i remember the storm that hit london and michael fish gave no warning, so you just thought it was just the end of world! i lived in an old victorian house and thought at one stage that the whole roof was going to take off. lucky that i only lost a few slates but loads of trees and modern structures broke or blew down.
    August 31 at 10:50AM

Mr Jones: I'm so happy today, as the great Ted Munro has immortalized me in bottle and i'm lost for words. Thank you for this wonderful surprise and may you always reign as no1.
April 3 at 7:45AM
corrinas creations: Ooh check you out, turning into quite the celebrity aren't we ;) So totally deserved, you must be chuffed to bits
    April 3 at 3:24PM
Mr Jones: Yes previously Ted Munro, immortalized the 'Beatles' and now the 'Jonses', this could totally go to my head (haha).
    April 3 at 3:47PM
donkeyoatey: I poinrted out to Mr. Munroe, that he made you WAY more handsome than you are!..and taller! lol..great thing, couldn't happen to a more deserving person! Donkeyoatey
    April 3 at 4:58PM
Mr Jones: Haha, yes i read your very witty review. I'm sure that is key to flatter the subject and also improve their looks. Ted's model of me looks so dashing.
    April 3 at 6:11PM

Mr Jones: Thank you so much for all the reviews and highest ratings to 'House of a 1000 Corpses'. Most have been overwhelming with appreciation but I have to direct all this praise to my collaborator dear Corrina. All Time Best, what a result and the next tribute is already underway.
March 31 at 12:10PM
corrinas creations: Totally well deserved, I knew it would be a winner :) And I'm sorry but it was your efforts that were they key to this success. Cant wait for the next one
    April 1 at 3:53PM
Mr Jones: i felt a tinge of sadness when the certificate finally ran out but has received a grand total of 35 reviews and maybe 1 more. i'm so proud of all the wonderful reports.
    April 1 at 8:28PM
Personify: Randy I am so happy that I have had the pleasure of getting to know your work and you:) I wish the best to you.
    April 2 at 9:48AM
Personify: Sorry, Vincent I comment in the wrong box.lol I was trying to say good bye to Randy. Your picture 1000 Corpses has a life of its own that can't run out:)
    April 2 at 9:56AM
Mr Jones: Oh that is fine Personify, delightful to hear from you and thanks for the lovely thoughts and words, concerning my Horror art.
    April 3 at 4:05PM

Mr Jones: i'm currently working on a 3rd picture with the very talented corrinas creations. It will be a continuation of our shared love of horror films. i'm experimenting with crayons, which i find highly suitable for this type of material. so watch this space for the next exciting tribute.
March 6 at 8:19PM
corrinas creations: Ooh bring it on Mr Jones and you really are too kind, can't wait to work on it. Been doing way too many fluffy images lately, think I need a little trip to the dark side again lol How are we going with it?
    March 8 at 2:20AM
Mr Jones: i worked on it last night corrina and it's coming along just fine and dandy. has a kind of fairground attraction look, with the derelict style i was after. all it needs now is your delicate touch and we will have a very pretty picture.
    March 8 at 10:11AM
corrinas creations: sounds fab, cant wait to see it, the suspense is killing me!
    March 9 at 6:44AM
Mr Jones: i'm just making the final touches to spaulding's head, then just have his hat to make. i love the girl, who plays the character 'babe' and i wouldn't mind having a go at her (i mean trying to draw her haha), then i can post it to you but you might have to shield cedrics eyes, as it's a little scary.
    March 13 at 3:31PM
corrinas creations: lol..Just got it through the post and O M G! I absolutely love it!! You have well and truly outdone ourself here Mr Jones. Well after seeing it I'm not sure about the girl, I'm thinking of a freaky carnival/circus scene. Got a cedric piece Im working on now. Once he's done then gonna crack on with this. Its gonna be a good un!
    March 16 at 11:51AM

Mr Jones: Many thanks for all the appreciation and to those who wrote such kind reviews to 'The Ruins of Ayutthaya 3'. It is my very first 'All Time Best' award and I'm very happy today. I can truly say now, it was worth all the trouble and strife taking this particular picture.
January 24 at 12:41PM
corrinas creations: Congrats Mr Jones, Im sure it will be the first of many. I'm back by the way so get posting ;)

Mr Jones: I'd just like to thank everyone who appreciated my photo in the 'Lest We Forget Contest'. I almost did not submit the picture as I thought maybe, it might be construed as disrespectful. Though through the immense response, it helps us all to remember this truly awful event in world history.
