Nice composition here, very bright, cheerful. Love the detail in both the face and the clothing and the green in the wall is a nice backdrop.Like how it almost looks like he is looking up. Well done.

Bewwwtiful detail Katya! Really like your deliberate stroke technique. Shading work is awesome as the detail shows. The expression you've managed to capture is awesome. Love your work with light and the form it gives this work. A great pleasure to be able to view more of your work:)

This is an amazing portrait of this young girl. Your attention to fine details is very impressive. Love the expression that you have painted on her face. Every thing seems to blend perfectly. Like the hair style and the pattern on the shirt. Well done and thanks for sharing.

You have made a lovely portrait of Abby. The expression you captured is excellent. The way you did her eyes makes her look extremely alert.

Hi Katya, This watercolor is so alive, I feel the child is about to say something or jump out at you. I love the colors, the tones, in fact the entire composition is a delight. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I appreciate any one who can do a portrait. And make them look like themselves.I tried to do one in acrylic of my granddaughter and could only make it look like her Mother LOL ...I have more want to than talent so it is not surprising but having tried I appreciate work such as yours even more.I really like the green tones throughout the painting. The expression is great. The sense of light is very nice.

    Thank you for your review!
Faces are the hardest thing to paint, takes a lot of practice, so don't be discouraged:)) it helps a lot if you first build the face with it's anatomy in mind and then paint over it.

A great water color full of wonder and expression. A portrayal of realistic feelings expressed in her face that has been so aptly captured by your eye and by the stroke of your brush.
