Beautifully captured Mary! purple is one of my favourites colours too. You can see every tiny detail in your image clearly with great lighting to enable that. I am continually amazed at the many complex patterns in nature.
Nice that you are able to go to an Open Garden and enjoy. We are still heavily locked down, although can go walking within 5kms. All the best in the contest!

I don't know the name of it either but, it's gorgeous! It's such a lovely shade of purple, the center is very interesting as it shows the way the petals unfold from the little casings.
You have photographed it well with good focus, this image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural. I like the placement of this flower within the square frame , the combination of purple and green is one of my favorites, well presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

The perfect title as purple is My favorite color Mary.

This is a beautiful image with sharp focus and nice details. The purple and white colors are well rendered. The position in the frame is just right with the blurred flower in the bottom right background providing nice balance.
