MY VERY 1ST SCULPTURE
MY VERY FIRST SCULPTURE
EVERYONE is welcome to enter this contest!
Beginners, or advanced, everyone is welcome to give this a try, even if it's not really your very first time creating a sculpture.
There's only about a couple dozen, or so, sculptures on FAR at this time, so what better way to spring into spring than by trying something NEW?
NO EXCUSES!
You do NOT need expensive art-store materials to do sculpture.
Here's a list of suggestions:
Mud from the back yard
Hand soap, carved
Cookie, or bread dough
Apples, or Potatoes, carved
Cut & crumpled papers (any kind), assembled
Toilet paper, or paper towel tubes
Cardboard food boxes (oatmeal, instant rice, etc.)
Paper mache
Wood scraps
Metal scraps
Old wire & wire hangers
Broken pottery, or bric-a-brac
Old clothing, or fabric scraps
The possibilities are endless, as long as it's 3D and you made it specifically for this contest.
PLAY!
EXPERIMENT!
TRY NEW THINGS!
GET OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE!
But, most of all: HAVE FUN! :)
I shouldn't have to say it, but:
NO 2D WORK ALLOWED FOR THIS CONTEST.
This means you can take a photograph of YOUR SCULPTURE (of course), but not a photograph of someone else's. YOU are the sculptor for this contest.
This is not a photography contest, so no one should be judging you on the merits of your photography.
Please include a brief description of how you created the work in your notes and please let us know if you had fun ;)
Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Sunday, March 31, 2013.
