The unusual appearance of a triple Hibiscus blossom let me think of a dancer in a tutu. The first rays of sun are like spotlights and the texture of the tree bark in the background resembles a stage decoration.
The Blossom is basically original except a small area on the right shoulder [the left site looking at the picture]. The background above is original. Below were some distractions. While the Hibiscus buds in the middle are original the left corner were cloned, colored with a tint brush and lighted to resemble stage lights. Some greenery was digitally painted on the right. The dancer herself was also painted using mainly watercolors with a few strokes of colored pencil. The butterflies and the flower in the hair of the dancer are from my private clip art collection. They were merged into the picture. While the flower is cut from one of my photos, the butterflies were painted digitally.
The picture was created in Digital Imagine Suite, Twisted Brush and Art Rage 3.0.5
