Just snakes Contest Entry

This is a garter snake. I was working in the yard last week. I had an old tarp laying on the ground, and when I picked it up, look what I found! He was upset with me as you can see he flattened out his head and struck at me. This is there only defense. Snakes are a very beneficial creature, they keep rodents and insects in check and they have a rite to be here! I am using an Olympus E3 camera with a 70-300mm lens 125/sec f8 with the pop up flash!
