I wanted to create the wonderful magic a child feels with her pets. The little girl is a carved statue of wood. I loved her when I saw her. She was the inspiration for this piece. I tried to smooth her features as as she was the color of the wood she was carved from I colorized her body
with transparencies.

The angel was ceramic and I used her to represent Mother Nature. She had only slight color so I had to colorize her with transparencies also. I thought of her as spiritual so I made her tranparent and placed colorized transparienies over her.

The background is a picture of an estate one had to pass through to get to a heron rockery. I thought it was beautiful and took some pictures as I walked through. I thought it would be a nice setting for thr litte girl...her home. I used accented edges to add texture and depth to it.
