I discovered that this was to be a mixed media entry so made some slight changes
to make it so. I added color to the snake and created a textured background

This photo was taken over a year ago. I was hiking around one of my favorite National Wildlife Refuges when I saw a bunch of people watching something. I quickened my pace to get where they were gathered and soon and discovered what all the interest was about. A black northern water snake had just caught a fish and was trying to swallow it. The snake was having a bit of trouble trying to get the fish down his throat....and I mean a LOT! This is one of the pictures I took.
