This is a Great Blue Heron. I was at a local fishing lake and hag gotten out of the car and was walking the bank. I was standing still and this bird flew over my head and landed in front of me. I focused and took a shot, moved up and took another one. I kept doing this until I was on top of him. I got about ten feet away and got my last shot before he took off. I am using an Olympus E3 camera with a 70-300mm lens ISO 500 750/sec f5.6
