It is quite amazing how somebody has carved the chair out of one piece of wood. The table is however in two separate parts. I am not sure what these things growing out of a stem on a tree are called in English. The gnarly wood looks lovely though, and I liked the heart shape in the stem of the table. It is not many people left who can create this sort of furniture any more, but in older days it was a lot of them. I found this table and chair in a hotel more or less hidden away. I can't understand why they could not have found a better place to show them off. Only natural light was used taking this photo, and I used a tripod.
