Dance is an art form referring to rhythmic movement of the body, usually to music. Well that is the definition anyway. For me Dance is more. Dance is emotion, sensuality, spirituality, performance for an audience or a ceremonial for gods or just fun. Ballet is a special, a virtuous form of dance. It could be a very fast movement as in this performance of a pirouette; a blur for our eyes were details varnish. Even the faces are often not recognizable for the audience. I tried to capture this blur of a human form in motion. The picture was painted on blank digital canvas in ArtRage 3.0.5. The technique is very similar to traditional Oil painting, done stroke for stroke using different sized oil brushes and the palette knife. The difference is that these tools are moved with my fingers on a pad. We could say, very simplified, it is finger painting.
