This old spinning wheel is exactly 100 years older than me. A very good friend of mine gave this to me before she died. This was many years ago, but I always remember her when I look at it. I don't know anything about the original owners. The wheel is sitting in my living room next to the fire place and doesn't really fit in at all with the modern furniture, but still it doesn't really look out of place. I have not added any texture to this photo. This is how the wall behind it looks like. The photo was taken in day light but the vignette and the warmth I added makes it look like this was taken in a dark room with light from lamps. I used a tripod. I am not sure this qualify as an unusual object, but I suppose it is in our days. I have tried to use it once, and I can assure you that to spin a thread is more difficult than you think.
