Botanical gardens once again wandering around the many pathways I came across this Queensland Bottle Tree. These trees can reach 18-20 meters but when grown in colder districts stay a lot smaller. The distinctive bottle shape develops as the tree grows and although some people believe the tree to be hollow the swelling is due to water stored in the trunk. The leaves are very long and narrow and being semi deciduous they drop before flowering in October - December. Must head back during that time as I haven't seen one in flower. Focal length 22mm ISO400 F5.0 1/60S
