As kid in the crowded and war scared city of Berlin, Germany I used to escape into dream worlds with some old books about the Old West. I dreamed of a land with a horizon too far to see and an endless sky and thunderous herds of Buffalo.
The Buffalo once roamed in the Americas in a ranch between Canadas North West, Durango and Nuevo Leon, Mexico in the south and east to the western boundary of the Appalachian Mountains. There are no exact numbers but account to estimates there were about 30-60 million of them; before they got almost extinct in the slaughter of the commercial huntings in 19th century Americas.
