Beach Treasures

A New Yorker under Water

I was thinking to post this for the still life contest, but think the objects and their arrangements may do not meet the requirements of a still life. I decided to post another picture for the contest and this one here separately. Maybe you could tell me if that is a still life or not. Everything in this picture was found on the beach including the piece of paper with the New Yorker on it. Just that the New Yorker was found on a different part of beach then the rest. The arrangement of beach treasures was made by nature I cannot take credit for it. I just put the paper in between. The original location of the photo was beach, but somehow I got in my head it would look better under water. I played around with wave filters and a docent other filters to get the underwater- and the reflecting sunlight effect. I touched up with some paintbrush strokes to eliminate too bright areas on the paper, adjusted the light and cropped it to its current format.
