This painting is dedicated to all men and women who severed in the military and spent many days and nights on foreign soil away from their loved ones and placed in harms way. My husband would tell me that when there would be a calm after all the noise of bombs, air strikes, and fighting, in the quiet you could hear soldiers praying. Their prayers would be of thankfulness that they are still alive, or for the friend's that died that day. I know that angels watched over my husband on many deployments that he spent in harms way, just as I know they watch over all of our men and women. No matter what war ,or country you fight for, war is still a horrible thing but young men and women give so unselfishly of themselves to stand for what they believe is right. I hope I did justice for those that have given their lives and those that came home.
