We live in a small village called Kardamili when we are in Greece. Just a short drive up to another village called Petrovoni, and you can see this church quite close. Still you have to go in a loop to get close to it. The church is called Agia Sophia and was built in 1605. This area is full of small churches and chapels, and a small village can sometimes have as much as 30 of them.

This is for sure the holy part of Greece, and also the most untouched by tourism. This is why I love this area so much. This photo was taken just before sunset, and I think I was pretty lucky to capture this place at exactly the right time. I have been to this place many times before because of the beautiful view, but never seen it as lovely as this special afternoon.
