I took a walk through the woods the other day. In front of me was light. I thought; oh there is an opening, surely something to take photos off. I left the walkway and approached the opening, but what surprise. There was no opening. I found an abandoned house hidden in the woods. It seemed to me as if that light came from the building. No not from the windows, from the house itself. What was that, glowing plaster? I just love that kind of mystery. I entered the house. The only people I found there, had for legs. There was a donkey, a family of mice, a frog, a mole and a white rabbit with a pocket watch? WHAT? All of them looked a bit strange. Anyway, that was not from where that light came from. They were just having a tea party. There it was again, the light. A golden shine came from upstairs. I left those peoples to their tea and entered the second floor. Spider webs everywhere. I did not look what was beneath, because the light came still from above. I entered the attic, there it was, the light, shining behind some cardboard boxes and an old suitcase, around the corner I went, and found a book. The light came from the book! I took a photo, just as I found it.
Well, of course that is a tale. It is the prologue to a story I am working on.
The picture started out with a photo from my click art program, an old book, placed in a corner of the living room floor. I attacked the photo with a zillion of filters. The dragon was separately painted. Dragon and title were added to the book cover. The book is not in print jet, actually it does not have an editor either, but I hope it will, some day.
