A single rose
A chapter in the book Wood Roses
Often as the roses grow, one may fall off of the plant and land at the base of the vine or tree on which it was growing. Many may pass it by and fail to see the beauty that is still there as that single rose basks in the light of the sun. Yet someone may come along and pick it up and place it in their hair, put it in a special place in their home as part of a larger arrangement or as a single flower in a small container. Now that single flower is noticed by many and is no longer just a little fallen discarded rose lying by the wayside. How often do we do that to people? Just pass them by without helping them? It just takes a special person to see the beauty in a person and offer help to bring out that beauty and help them become all that they were meant to be.
