During my recent visit to the Botanical Gardens I wandered into the Pavillion which was built specifically for the Amazon Waterlily. The pond contains the huge lily pads and buds of this magnificent flower which was not blooming at the time however the smaller waterlily was - the delicate cream colour edged with blue has a beauty of its own and I liked the way the shadow was created due to the lighting coming through the glass structure.
