This is a bloom from the Milkweed plant. One that the Monarch butterflies live and survive on. they lay their eggs here, the caterpillars will grow and get big and fat from eating the leaves. Then they will cocoon (usually somewhere else) and then hatch and come back to start the cycle over again. We used to raise them, but decided Mother Nature was better at it. So we bought the plants to keep them going. Nikon D7000
