Despite 'the truth being the truth', the 'honest' truth, the truth actually varies quite a bit depending on who is telling their version.
This sign about the 'liberals telling the truth" is captured in its mirror image to convey the sense that the ones asking for the truth have their own version which may not be 'true' either. Many times things are the opposite of what they seem.
