Sun came out & hover flies

The sun came out today - not too much warmth but so nice to see blue sky and fluffy white clouds. Walked to the Himeji Japanese Gardens which are part of the Adelaide Parklands and around 3km (1.9 miles) from home. These little bees (hover flies thx Susan) were enjoying the few flowers in bloom including the snowdrops.

Thanks to Susan F.M.T. who has advised me these are hover flies not bees - didn't know that we had hover flies in Australia but apprently they are world wide except Antartica (wilkepedia) :)
