This was a purple water lily taken at a Lincoln, Nebraska botanical garden. What caught my attention initially was the reflection in the dark water. I used a telephoto lens (shot at 230mm) at a speed of 1/1000 second, f-6.3, ISO 200. I wanted to reduce potential blurring as it was a windy day. Hope you like it.
