This is a bit out of my range, because I am usually not using references of paintings made by others. This time I had no choice. This is one of two portraits I painted for an admirer of the musicians Clara and Robert Schumann. I used a painting I found in one of my reference books. Unfortunately the painter of the original portrait is unknown.
I was planning on posting this portrait into the Expression contest, but could not find out how to call this expression. Maybe someone of you could help me with this.
