Sovereign Hill is an open-air museum and historic park depicting the first ten years after the discovery of gold in 1851. The reality created within this popular tourist attraction is amazing with people dressed in the costumes from that era wandering around and chatting and operating the bakery, hotel and other shops as they would have been at that time.
