We had an opportunity to visit the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii in 2004. At that time the flag over the memorial was at half mast in remembrance of President Reagan who had passed away shortly before our visit. Because the flag was at half mast I was able to take this photograph of the American Flag through the structure of the memorial. I believe the title taken from the Gettysburg Address says it all in regards to the emotions evoked when visiting the memorial.
