Candles - Photography (a) Contest Entry
This is one of two photos I got almost accidentally, of an unusual event. I have seen Embers emerging from wildfires, bonfires and campfires, but never before from a candle. It happened when I was shooting at a candle, hoping for a good picture of smoke when suddenly embers appeared. I was amazed, not even realizing the potential danger of embers floating through my living room. I kept shooting. The embers vanished as sudden as the appeared. It did not happen again.

Sony DSC-HX200V, f/2.8, 1/30 sec, ISO 320. Focal length 5 mm, light from the candle itself
