This is Bogie, short for Humphrey Bogart the actor. This was taken as he celebrated his last 4th of July with us. Two years earlier we almost lost him. A lab and pit bull mix was being walked not on a leash by a man. The dog was strange to our neighborhood. My daughter 14 at the time saw this wayward dog and picked Bogie up in her arms. For some reason the dog charged and ripped Bogie out of her arms tearing his Jugular artery. After 5 hours of emergency surgery we were so Blessed with 2 1/2 more years of barks, wet noses, dog slobber and unconditional Love. This photo hangs proudly on our wall of family photos.
