I went for a neck operation as it was supposed to be a simple thing.
little did I know it would take from 7:30 am to find a bed at 11:30pm.
it is called a discectomy, as they take discs out and cut your vertebrae.
to place tantalum cubes inside, and take bone marrow from your hip and insert it.
it is a porous metal in the titanium family as they look like dice, but you cant see there numbers.
there is titanium plates and screw's with mesh as well as most of the hardware is white.
as a long time in a neck brace 5 1/2 months after 3 months a 9 month time for a bone stimulator.
4 hours a day for it as you look like flavor flave but with the brace something scary. :-)
I do have many stories in that short period of time with the brace.
as a year later the stimulator stops at it's 9 month cycle.
as bone grows thru the cubes and bond to the other vertebra
so when someone say's grow a spine i'll say I did. :-)
been there done that. so if you WAKE UP with a Pain in your hip and say Hey doc What's Up With Me hip Sorry WE TOOK THE MARROW and WENT SPACE AGE ON YOU now Grow a Spine and get used to 2 Things hanging on or Around you Neck, SEA you Soon Dang can make MOVIE just that alone and still a penny taken out of me arm with a Q tip i cant make it up IT HAPPENED TO ME.
