Antique vintage using Sepia Contest Entry
Today, the Alamo in the city of San Antonio, Texas is mostly a place of tourism. Once it was a place of native American, then a Spanish Mission, it was used as ford by different armies. Many battles were fought on its grounds. One of those battles is worldwide known as The Battle of the Alamo 1836.
Other battles and wars had many more casualties, but this battle will remain in the memory of the world as a Symbol for the horrors war brings.
When the battle ended on March 6th 1836, 180 man of the North American defenders and 521 Mexican soldiers had lost their life.
The photo was taken some time ago near the place now known as Last Stand. This corner looks very different after recently done reconstruction.
I converted the photo to sepia. I added the silhouette of a man who wears close most likely worn by the defenders. The silhouette was converted to sepia also and made transparent.

Camera settings of original color photo:
Sony DSC-H2, f/4, 1/50 sec, ISO 80, focal length 6 mm, daylight at 9:30 AM

Post Type: Mixed Media Photography
