This is the time of the year that schools will soon be closing to end the 2016-2017 school year. I am a retired teacher of grades Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 2, and I fondly remember at the end of every school year as a teacher- always thanking my students and their parents for their cooperation and support during the school year and for my students' willingness to learn- well most of them anyway. I will always treasure receiving cards of thanks, notes of thanks, and very nice gifts of appreciation from students and from supportive parents. I created this silhouetted artwork of a teacher and two of her students showing mutual appreciation for a school year well accomplished. I used the Paint program on my computer to produce my artwork.
