There are country roads all through the park at Cades Cove in Tn. Some of them you can take and drive alongside a mountain, but you will probably need a four wheel drive vehicle, I started down one a while back but changed my mind and turned around and came back. To me Cades Cove is a great place to spend the day, I remembered when I started going there it was not as crowded as it is now-a-days, I guess people have heard about the different wildlife that they have there, I think that it is still worth the trip anyway.
