Early this past spring I started a package of TULIPS called The 'Masters' It promised TULIPS "....of colors as though the 'Masters' had painted them" ...lol... I was a bit skeptical but have to admit that while I do not know a lot about the 'Masters' this package of TULIP starts produced some really lovely color combinations.

They were all slightly different but the one seen in this image was definitely my favorite and I was so pleased that I photographed it BEFORE it completely opened b/c while it was pretty enough once it fully blossomed I thought it was absolutely stunning at the stage seen here.

It had a porcelain-like quality in the evening that was not at all evident in daylight....in fact, the colors were a bit washed out looking during the day so I went out to the gardens after dark and subjected it to my low-tech flashlights method of night-time photography. I was very pleased to have captured both the soft color and that porcelain look I liked so much.
