didn't get a total eclipse in MI

A chapter in the book Sun

At The Start

by dalebraatz

didn't get a total eclipse here in MI, here is a shot I too at the beginning of what WE DID GET. taken with Kodak Pixpro AZ521, manual settings of F6.4 1/40 800 ISO laydown on the ground pointed camera at the sun. I think I caught a couple of sunspots not sure ? I had to use a eclipse rated filter to take these. a friend bought some of the filter in sheet form and cut it to make filters for a camera. got a filter adapter and a clear filter same sixe as the adapter. he cut and glued the filter in place then put the clear filter over it to protect it from scratches then I but one a clear filter on the other end so no scratches or dust can get in.
