Catnapped!

We're on the run, he'll have you know,
And with him I am forced to go.
Yes, I, the cat tied to his back
While I napped came under attack
And was scooped up like a limp toy.
Fie! I've been catnapped by a boy
Who thinks like Columbus he'll be
And find rich lands beyond the sea
If only mum would let him stray,
Like me, beyond our home's doorway.
Why should I join him in this quest,
This fantasy, when my behest
Is by his parents done at home-
The world where as their king I roam?
In truth, since this boy appeared
As a babe, I've been less revered,
For to my throne he has laid claim,
Therefore, double-pronged is my aim
To desert him when the first chance
Arrives and return home to prance
And reign without dispute once more
As the king his parents adore.
But first, I will now punish him,
For wrapping me body and limb
Like a newborn. Into these towels,
Let me now empty my full bowels.
