Wonder of a Child At Christmas

by Barb Baker

Christmas Art Contest Entry
I remember when I was a little girl, I would stare at our Christmas tree for hours on end after everyone else went to bed and the tree was all lit up just for me to see. Of course I had to sneak into our living room well after I knew that my parents were fast asleep. I also would fantasize about what I would see under that Christmas tree come Christmas morning...
I also was so fascinated by our Nativity scene..I loved looking at it too and could sit for hours on end looking at those two things in our living room when everything else in it was dark, except the tree and the little manager.. I still get that nostalgic feeling every year when we put up our tree and the manager..That feeling never ever goes away for me no matter how many years may pass by...I drew this picture as a reminder of that feeling I had way back then, and still get every year, even now at the age of 71.
Merry Christmas to Everyone on FAR!
