Sunset in Palm Springs

Desert Sunset

by Donna Ruiz

Landscape Photo Contest (a) Contest Entry
At the end of a long day shooting outside of Palm Springs, my husband and I stopped for gas. I could tell that the sunset had great potential to be very colorful so, we parked on the street next to the gas station and waited a few minutes. The sky really turned really beautiful. I was initially a little disappointed that I couldn't get a good shot that was free of the power lines without having to walk into the desert...something I didn't want to do as the light was fading. It turned out that I thought the power lines added an interesting element to the shot. A fun unexpected shooting experience.
