For me,summer is watching the fawns grow up. By now,all the does are bringing their fawns with them when they come to eat.The fawns are grazing on grass and eating corn with their moms,but they still nurse often. I took this picture of "Honey" nursing her twins behind our house early one evening.I had gone outside and was walking behind them,keeping a respectful distance(not that Honey is ever concerned about my prescence),when first one fawn,then the other , ran to mom and started nursing.They never seem to be able to nurse without their tails constantly wagging! Very honored that Honey felt comfortable enough to give me the oppurtunity to get this shot! Slightly cropped the image and adjusted the color and brightness.
