A couple of days after I got my new camera my brother told me his dog Charlie was very sick and he needed to have him put to sleep. Charlie was my brother's faithful companion for over ten years. I offered to come down the night before the appointment to take some pictures of Charlie and his family. I'm totally new to taking pictures of people and I had my camera on selective color mode so they would turn out black and white. I just thought this picture showed the love between a guy and his dog. It was a sad but sweet experience being able to create some beautiful memories of this last goodbye.
