Almost 18 years ago, in the summer of 2000, this wood carving was inviting the audience of the country fair in Las Animas, Colorado. Unfortunately, there was no reference given to the artist who carved the intriguing sculpture. I was captured by the face and body expression of the rather ruff carving. Back when I made several pencil sketches which I discovered last year when looking at my old works and decided to use them as reference for a digital panting.
