This is a new born fawn, probably less than an hour old that Shiloh and I accidentally came across in the woods.Shiloh was attracted to a bed down spot where the doe had given birth,and I spotted the fawn only a few feet away in the leaves.Normally the doe will move the fawn away from the birth area once she licks it dry,removing any birth fluid.Since fawns have no scent for the first few days of their lives,Shiloh wasn't attracted to it.I took some quick photos and left so the doe would return and move the fawn to a safer spot.
