Mixed Media: None | I wanted create a piece that tells a story for this contest instead of just submitting a pet portrait. I sketched the two Whippets out on my last piece of mixed media board. Thank goodness I am now out of that surface because it is very difficult to work with (at least for me). I know that some will think these dogs are skinny but that is how the breed is. Greyhounds are the largest racing dog, then Whippets, and the smallest are Italian Greyhounds. There are a number of rescue organizations that save these dogs once their racing owners feel they have outlived their purpose. They make gentle and loving pets.
