Baby and Child Art Contest Contest Entry
Once upon a time I had a dream to do oil paintings on canvas. To get there I started with drawing on canvas. My drawings started out with 2b pencils, then 6b pencils. When I thought I was good enough, I switched to sepia and conte pencils. I started using soft pastels to add color with the next step in my self imposed method for development. While it appears my development was planned, it was only to the degree in that I knew the direction I wanted but the road was winding and filled with pitfalls and discoveries. This oil pastel drawing was the cumulation of my learning and experiences to this point in time. I rather like it and thought I would share.
