For almost two weeks now I have wanted to post something that would show the horror and disgust I've felt at the way our government is dealing w/ innocent children at our southern border. To be honest, what has kept me from doing it sooner is not knowing what image to use. I needed some sort of black, perverse, twisted image to register how horrible I feel about the forced separation of innocent children from their parents..... and none of my flowers fit the bill. Instead of using something ugly I did something I never do w/ my images. I chose a beautiful and simple LIATRIS seed pod and softened it w/ a filter. This represents the children in chaos. I left the black night surrounding the seed pod as it was....this represents the darkness and evil of the situation these children find themselves in.

What I want to suggest as well is that anyone who finds separating children from their parents as deplorable as I do....for WHATEVER reason should contact their Senator....their Congressman or Woman. I keep hearing things like "this is not who we are as a nation" It is NOT. In actuality, the ONLY people who are truly NOT immigrants or descended from immigrants are American Indians. But despite the 'immigrant argument' this is a totally unacceptable way to treat innocent children and I urge anyone who feels the same to SAY something. How low can we sink to sit idly by and watch this go on?

As I write this the President has just said he will sign an Executive Order to put a stop to this horror. I sincerely hope he is being honest this time. Nevertheless, I urge all Americans to keep their eye on this situation and if it doesn't STOP to step up and say 'This is not right' 'This is NOT who we are as Americans' So I post this image now w/ more hope than I had when I started writing a few minutes ago. Blessed are the children..... ALL CHILDREN.....
