The Monarch butterfly ranks among the most famous butterflies of the Americas. It is summer guest of southern Canada and the northern USA and migrates in winter to more hospitable climates of the southern US and Mexico. Through the migration flights often individuals wander of curse and even show up in Europe. Others have colonized in Australia and oceanic islands, including Hawaii. Additional Population range all year in lowlands of Central and South America.

The wildflower is known to Native American people of Guatemala and southern Mexico as Ha-wa-che. Unfortunately, I do not know any English or Latin name of the plant.
